How daily targets and day locks work in TradlyMemo

The rules behind the app in plain language: how the target is calculated, when a day counts as met, and why you cannot skip ahead.

TradlyMemo follows a small set of rules so your record stays honest.

The target

Each day’s target is your chosen percentage of that day’s starting balance, rounded to the cent. A $30 balance at 27% gives a target of $8.10.

When a day is met

A day counts as met when the day’s net result is at least the target. You can record several entries in one day. Losses are recorded as negative numbers and reduce the net, so they never count towards meeting a target.

Why the next day stays locked

The next day unlocks only on a later calendar date, and only after the previous day is met. That removes the temptation to rush a whole challenge into one session.

Editing your history

Once you have entries on more than two different days, earlier days lock so the record cannot be rewritten after the fact. If you need to stop, you can pause a challenge and resume it later.

Put it into practice

Plan your next challenge, record each day and watch the numbers.
